All Shall Be Well

“All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.” – Julian of Norwich

The theme for this 5 Day Academy for Spiritual Formation is “All Shall Be Well.” How fitting that is, especially since hundreds of delegates have been working through so much during General Conference this very week….

I arrived at this retreat today and found a friend from seminary was also there. As we were talking about the future of the Church, she reminded me of a trip to Greece that both she and I had taken, although at different times in our seminary experience. But during the trip, we both were able to partake of the Lord’s Supper standing in open air, surrounded by ruins of the past, but knowing without a doubt that the Church of Jesus Christ will stand for eternity!

As I begin this week of spiritual rhythm; this week of soaking in the Spirit; this week of Holy Conversation and reflection, it is my intent to blog about this experience. I do have a report to do on it, but this will be more than just reporting….more about my personal growth and reflection during this week.

I am grateful for this opportunity to join with about 50 others on this journey. We are honored to have Father Richard Rohr and Roberta Bondi among us as teachers and guides. We are thankful that this event has been lifted in prayer for 2 years now. May we all mightily experience God’s grace this week and God’s nudge into the world as we leave on Friday.

stay tuned for more….
